Arcachon Bay: the final episode of RTL2's "Double Expresso" with Jérémy Frérot and Superbus on the beach

This Friday, July 4, RTL2 and W9 relocated their morning show "Double Expresso," hosted by Justine Salmon and Grégory Ascher, to Club Pereire in Arcachon. Jérémy Frérot and the band Superbus gave a live performance.
More than a hundred seats installed, a television control room in the beach bar, and a platform placed on the sand: RTL2's "Double Expresso" took over Pereire Beach for the season finale. Attending this relocation, in partnership with "Sud Ouest," required setting your alarm early to be there between 6 and 9 a.m. This is the second time the show has stopped in Arcachon, the last having been four years ago.
"I feel at home here. It didn't take long to convince the team to come down to Arcachon. We're always made to feel welcome. It's pure joy," enthuses Grégory Ascher. The local danced and even threw a caterpillar with the audience, encouraged by Justine Salmon. Although she's not from the region, the presenter feels right at home here: "You could say I'm a semi-local. I spent my last vacation here, and I'm coming here more and more. This morning, it was crazy to see the queue outside Club Pereire at 5 a.m."

Sacha Gaudin
To properly celebrate this special morning show, the band Suberbus and Jérémy Frérot were invited to perform live. The singer, originally from and living in the basin, was in his "backyard," a feeling he never tires of: "It's very gratifying to be part of this landscape. Without being pretentious, it's like Toulouse and Nougaro, so I'm proud of it." As a symbol, he performed "Gamin des plages," a song in which he talks about the beach club of his childhood located 100 meters from the venue. "It's very moving," he confides.
As usual, the show attracted nearly 1.5 million listeners and viewers. Dressed in their red and white jackets, the members of the "Double Expresso" team took part in a photoshoot, much to the delight of the audience. Loyal listeners Lilian and Laurence are thrilled: "They're a great team, very approachable, and they create a great atmosphere. It's a great way to get ready for the holidays!"
